I was born in Redwood City, California, and moved to the Philippines with my family when I was two years old. I got off the plane in a shimmery blue Cinderella dress (it was Halloween) and have been delivering drama in the form of song, amateur theater, and spoken word ever since.

I was a painfully shy child who loved books and animals. I have since grown into a somewhat shy adult who still loves books and animals. My favorite things are office supplies and chocolate.

I got my undergraduate degree in Communication from the University of the Philippines Baguio and my master’s degree in Women and Development at the University of the Philippines Diliman. I’ve worked as a writer, editor, transcriptionist, radio jock, voice talent, and events host.

Cooking, video games, and watercolor are three things that I am not particularly good at but enjoy nonetheless.

This website is my nth attempt at blogging. Here, I share an assortment of things that interest me – food, travel, health and beauty, and gender issues.
